Which type of project is NOT exempt from the California Green Building Code?

The California Green Building Code, also known as CALGreen, establishes sustainability standards for various types of construction projects. Under this code, specific exemptions exist for certain categories of buildings based on their type and size.

Privately funded multi-family projects of 4 or more units are not exempt from the California Green Building Code requirements. These larger multi-family developments are required to comply with the green building standards set forth in CALGreen.
